ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION

1. WHAT DATA IS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR ACCOUNT?

Nodus is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect and process minimal information. The data associated with your user session and account includes:

• Account Profile: Your chosen nickname, avatar reference, and unique user identifier.
• Transient Room Sessions: Active room IDs, connection signaling tokens, and active member status.
• Chat Messages: Temporary chat history generated during live watch party sessions in room databases.

Note: Nodus does not store or process any of your local video files, or physical locations on our servers. All video playback runs entirely locally on your device.

2. HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT IN-APP (RECOMMENDED)

The fastest and most secure way to delete your account and erase all associated data is directly inside the Nodus Android application:

1. Open the Nodus application on your Android device.
2. Tap on your Profile Avatar in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Select Settings from the bottom sheet.
4. Scroll down you will find the Delete Account button, Tap it to Delete you acoount.
5. Confirm your choice by tapping Delete Permanently.

Once confirmed, your account metadata, profile settings, and active room registrations will be deleted instantly from our real-time database clusters.

3. HOW TO REQUEST MANUAL DATA DELETION VIA WEB

If you have already uninstalled the Nodus application or cannot access your account to trigger the deletion in-app, you can request manual deletion of your account and data:

• Submit a request via Email: Send an email to jarvis.impact@gmail.com with the subject line "Nodus Data Deletion Request".
• Provide details: To help us identify your record, please include your registration nickname and your Email address.

We will process your request and completely purge all account and signal records from our systems within 48-72 hours of verification.

You will get our confirmatory email.

4. DATA RETENTION POLICY

When you delete your account or your deletion request is completed:

• Immediate Purging: All active sessions, nicknames, and Firebase Realtime Database entries are permanently removed.
• Transient Messages: All room chat history is deleted automatically as sessions expire.
• No Residual Backups: We do not store offline backups of transient P2P room data. Once deleted, your account is gone forever and cannot be recovered.
